Minit

Ever feel like your bad at time management? I am especially guilty about this, with waiting to write papers hours before it is due. Minit is a game that has honestly helped me combat this. When your character wakes up and leaves his house, he has a minute to live. That’s it. As soon as the timer reaches 0, you die and return to your house. The charm of this is slowly learning the layouts of the map, and uncovering secrets to open up new areas of the map. The art style is very minimalist, with an accompanying midi soundtrack make it very charming, despite only being able to hear a minute of it at a time.

The story is simple, but the characters help to bring this area to life. Your character picks up a sword and is cursed to live 60 second days. The NPC’s you interact with on your adventure are cute and help to liven up the area as you help complete side objectives for them. The puzzles in this game are not the most challenging, only a few causing frustration with me. Some of the secret areas and optional content are rather cleverly hidden.

The game is rather short and can be completed without most of the side content within a span of an afternoon. It’s an interesting story that keeps you engaged to the end.

Despite a harsh minimalist tone, the engaging gameplay gives it a nice charm(source)
